Nearly ten years ago, Megafin launched as a field operation, not a product line.

We guided fly anglers into Colombia's Eastern Llanos — open savanna crossed by jungle rivers running cold from the Andes, where Payara hold below the falls and the casts have to be exact. And into Bahía Solano, on the Colombian Pacific, where roosterfish push to the surface on the morning tide and cubera snapper won't move for the wrong fly.

These were real expeditions. Remote water, no margin for error, guides who'd fished the same runs for decades. Season after season in the same places taught us what flies actually need to do. That's where the patterns come from — not from a catalog, but from water we fished for years before a single box was packed.
